God’s Box Clarification:

My proposed research aims to investigate a tangible tool to assist Alanon members achieving turning worries and obsessions into a power greater than ourselves. I intend to examine if writing worries and obsessions and inserting them into God’s Box can reduce the obsessions and worries by surrendering them to Higher Power/God.

God’s Box is tangible — can be decorated d box or even a tissue box–, which the Alanon member defines as God’s Box. When worries and obsessions arise, the participant define the worry/obsession ,writes the worry in one or a few words on a note, then inserts the note into the Box. Then- the participants LET GO/ SURRENDER of the worry. Give it away.

I hope that the research will provide a new tool of positive psychology globally by showing the effectiveness of God’s Box in boosting good emotions.
