Seventy years after the end of the Holocaust, teaching new generations about it is becoming more difficult than ever. In emphasizing the sheer number of deaths and atrocities, one loses a sense of the individual victims. But in emphasizing anecdotes and the stories of individuals, one loses a sense of the Holocaust’s enormity and scope. Discussion Question: This film is hailed as one of the best made. However, there is a great deal of exaggerated and or incorrect accounts of events. The Holocaust was and a global human tragedy. See if you can isolate and distinguish between what is fact and what is fiction. Choose a scene from the film and discern if that scene is accurate or fictitious in its portrayal of events. Once you have identified a specific event in the film try and verify the event(s) by using your textbook and or any other viable historical resource. Make certain that you provide evidence to back up your argument. Make certain that you cite all sources used. You only need to reply in at least 5 or more sentences.
